Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What happens if someone finds my bin and scans the label?
A: When a label is scanned, the system shows a message saying:
“This bin belongs to an address nearby. Please leave it on the curb or report it.”
No personal information is shown — just a simple return prompt. If the finder chooses, they can send us a message and we notify the owner.
Q: Is there an app I need to download?
A: Nope. Everything works through the phone’s camera or any QR code reader. No apps, logins, or tech experience required.
Q: What if I move? Can I transfer the label to a new address?
A: Labels are address-specific for accuracy. If you move, you can request an address update, or order a new set of labels for your new location.
Q: Can someone remove the label?
A: Our labels are made with high-adhesion, weather-resistant materials. They’re hard to peel and designed to stay on for years — even in tough Canadian weather.
Q: What does registration cost?
A: Just a one-time purchase for the label (or a free label through municipal programs where available). There are no monthly fees and no hidden charges.
Q: Does this track my location or personal info?
A: No. The label only links a bin to an address. We don’t collect personal location data, and we never sell or share your information.
Q: I’m a city rep. Can I request a pilot or bulk order?
A: Yes! We work with municipalities across Canada. Visit our Municipal Solutions page or Contact Us to request a pilot program or sample kit.
